Miley Cyrus is the star of the hit Disney Channel TV show Hannah Montana. In the show she plays a young teen girl with the secret life a teen pop star Hannah Montana. Her character is a normal girl by day who has bullies and other problems like most girls do. She has 2 best friends, Lily and Oliver, who are always with her in the good and the bad times. They get into all sorts of trouble and messy situations that they have to find their way out of, but in the end they always learn a valuable lesson.

The funny truth is that Miley didn't audition for the role of Hannah Montana. She actually auditioned for the role of Lily but got the main role instead. Then her own father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was cast as her father in the show. In the show Miley's mom past away long ago, but in reality she has a very loving, and living, mother.

Miley being cast as the main character is really no surprise if you look at her family. Her dad was a famous Country Singer, most famous for his hit song Achy Breaky Heart, and her older half brother is in a band called Metro Station. She has had a lot of musical influence from her family and that sure seems to have helped her become the star she is today.

But with fame came the tabloids. Miley is always getting her camera or cellphone stolen and pictures she took in privacy are now all over the news and the internet. Pictures like her in bathing suits, underwear, and doing things that make her look bad when looked at by other people.

Miley Cyrus is only 16 and she already has a massive following and a seemingly bright future ahead of her. When the day comes that Hannah Montana gets canceled she will still be able to continue her singing career and maybe get some more serious roles in movies.
